How might we help users discover retail promotions better in Google search results?
Context
Retail promotions on Google can offer many benefits for merchants. Google could, however, improve the performance of these promotions and bring more value to shoppers by focusing on these three points: Encrich the experience, improve the quality and expand the coverage.
Pain points
Finding promo codes and coupons is a task for which users reported low success rates.
Process
We explored several key questions through rapid sketching and wireframing:
What is the best way to display information for experiences? Is it better to be more inspirational with photography or more information-rich with text? What is the right density and layout for exploring experiences?

Results
The redesigned experience section launched to millions of Google Travel users, providing a comprehensive overview of destination activities organized around key themes. Travelers could now discover, compare, and plan activities without leaving Google.
